Person Review: Some other Professors I Had

In UP Diliman, there are a lot of professors to choose from. Mostly students try to avoid the terror ones, like Agapito, and find the uno-able ones. Uno-able means many students usually get a 1.0, the highest grade given, in the class, or it means that you won't have trouble with that class.

Compared to other students in UP, I'm still partly unexperienced, though, because I don't know which profs are terror and which are not. I soon know that when I let someone read my enlisted classes. Luckily I survived (and hope to survive) the previous school year. This school year, however, will be tough and I have to give my best.

Going back to the title itself, here are the professors I had in UP Diliman during the first year. Please note that this is my review and it is up to you whether you should believe it or not. Word of advice: ask a professional.

Professor/Instructor: Titos Analecto Quibuyen

AKA: Doc Q

Subject: Chem 16 (Possibly also on Higher Chem)

Comment: People say he's one of the terror profs. I'm not quite sure about that myself though. He teaches fast and gives problem solving. Even though the classes in Chem 16 are very big he could eye you whether you've been sleeping. Chem 16 is ok but if he does teaches higher Chem (which I think he does) then hope for the best. What's nice about this prof is that in Chem 16 departamental exams, his classes are one of the highest average scores.

Professor/Instructor: Katrina Angela Macapagal

AKA: (I don't remember actually, I call her by her last name, or Ma'am Kat)

Subject: Eng 1 (Possibly on Higher Eng)

Comment: She is a nice professor. She is friendly and approachable, but in order to get a 1.0 you'll have to do something better than what you're doing. 1 Final Exam and 2 papers. Some reports and group discussions.

Professor/Instructor: Regulus Tantoco

AKA: (n/a, i think)

Subject: Kas 1

Comment: Compared to other Kas 1 professors, this prof is different. The course outline given to us are primarily about Women in History. No he's not homosexual or anything. He just does that. Before discussions there is an essay or some sort. (I'll call it a creative paper, because the more creative you are, the better the grade). 1-2 Field Trips (optional). 1 Gender Seminar. 2 Bugtong (Riddles) which can be anything and are very difficult. Some hints. 1 Paper about something. Many ways to get extra points.

Professor/Instructor: Roberto Tangco

Subject: Philo 11

Comment: Terror prof. Less terror than de Villa. Pure logic and analysis. When you define something, you'll have to pretend that he doesn't know all the words, so you'll have to use simpler terms. Gives assignments where you'll have to find logic in it. Hard exams. Sometimes funny.

Professor/Instructor: Anna Felicia Sanchez

AKA: Ma'am Sanchez

Subject: CW 10 (possibly on higher CW)

Comment: Friendly and approachable. Gives grades according to your performance. 1 Journal. Finals is you'll have to make an 8-pages comics. 1 midterms exam. Group reports. 3 literature papers based on something, 2 of them to be revised and passed. Very strict especially if you're doing something else. The rest of the policies are found on her course outline.
